Here he is on the Henry Rollins show this year discussing "ecstatic truth" among other things.

Watch him tell a surprised Rollins that Los Angeles is a city of substance. The "most" substance you will find here declares Herzog. It's also important to be a part of the world's "collective dreams."

Also you gotta love that Herzog, who wouldn't call police after being shot comes off more "punk rock" than Rollins.

Why can't more people have such an eloquent command of the English language? And English isn't even his first language. He's German. 

Herzog is an oftentimes brilliant filmmaker but I'd love to see him go on the lecture circuit.
