'10,000' Tops
Nothing says box office like wooly mammoths and scantily clad hunters and gatherers! Movie-goers took in Roland Emmerich's prehistoric spectacle "
10,000 B.C." making it the number one picture over the weekend.
At number two was "College Road Trip," a movie I could have sworn was already made (wait that was "Road Trip" where all of the characters were in college and stopped off at various colleges while...on the road -- silly me). Anyway, both pictures had strong showings in spite of bad reviews.
In the case of "College Road Trip," I'd like to attribute those numbers to Donny Osmond. Donny Osmond needs to appear in more films. (By the way, why is Martin Laurence wearing Donny's famous color in the picture to the right?)
Here's the top five movies over the weekend:
1."10,000 B.C." -- $35.7M
2. "College Road Trip" -- $14M
3. "Vantage Point" -- $7.5
4. "Semi-Pro" -- $5.8M
5. "The Bank Job" -- $5.7M
