"American Gangster" was number one at the box office over the weekend, beating out what would have seemed to have been the more popular entertainment, "Bee Movie." Maybe it was all that Seinfeld cookbook talk, or the mixed reviews, or Larry King fans upset over  Jerry giving King a verbal smackdown (which was kind of funny, by the way).

 

Whatever the case, "American Gangster" received better reviews. Maybe that actually made a difference this time.
