James Mangold's re-make of Delmer Daves 1957 Western "3:10 To Yuma" shot its way to the top box office spot this weekend, upseating the other hit re-make, Rob Zombie's "Halloween."

 

Receiving considerably better reviews than Zombie's picture, Mangold's "3:10 to Yuma" has already been called by some critics as a re- invigoration of the Western genre, particularly with Andrew Dominik's "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford" (starring Brad Pitt as the famed outlaw) upon us.
