    Lohan's Troubled Future

    The New York Times discussed the obvious damage Lindsay Lohan's latest antics have done to her career. Famed agent Bernie Brillstein also weighed in, not mincing words.
     
     
    "'I hope they put her in jail for as long as they can,' said Bernie Brillstein, whose company has represented John Belushi and Chris Farley. 'Maybe she’ll realize how serious it is. I believe she’s uninsurable. And when you’re uninsurable in this town, you’re done.'”
     
    Ouch. As many of you know, I'm a Lohan defender (her acting, her acting. And, NO I don't condone drunk driving) but I do agree that if jail is the one thing that saves her, so be it. It saved Robert Downey Jr. And NO, I don't think she's proven herself to the level of Downey Jr. (who is sometimes, brilliant). Not yet she hasn't. I still say she's talented. 
     
    Anyway, if she's uninsurable, perhaps she should look into acting with Jackie Chan. Isn't he uninsurable too? "Drunken Master III" anyone? Ah...bad joke.
     
    I think John Waters should do a career intervention. And that's no joke. Lindsay, Patty Hearst and Traci Lords starring in...anything by Waters. I'm there.

    Now she's out of rehab & has a rehab-induced romance with someone who's is dealing with some dysfunctional family pain that needs to be dealt with tenderly. while i am assuming he was in rehab during the same time period as lilo, it was during this time that his father was gunned down by Fresno, CA PD in a last ditch effort to prevent him from doing bodily harm to his wife. He almost managed to get to her too, short of a mile or so, during a high-speed chase that ended with him pointing a gun at police with intent or use i don't recall at the moment but i do know the officers did everything by the book and saved numerous lives in the whole ordeal...especially that of his [Daddy Gile's] wife. This ocuurred only a couple of weeks ago.
     
    My concern would be that the son doesn't harbor the same anger issues that led to the tragedy for lilo's sake as  much as his own. Much needed counseling should be undergone to truly heal frm something like that. I'm not suggesting the rehab romance type of counseling either. If it is to be healthy anyway....Just an observance by someone who would hate to hear of a sequal tragedy down time's path.

    When I hit 21, there were some very stupid things that I regret doing now. I remember the turnmoils of reaching the drinking age and can somewhat identify with Ms. Lohans recent actions, (Here comes the but) BUT.....
     
    If you arent responsible enough to handle public life, then get off the stage!

    She was found with cocaine twice related to 2 DUIs and you say "she's young, let her get it out of her system"???  Excuse me, that's a FELONY, and people have been sent behind bars for much less.   I don't care if the cocaine "wasn't hers."  She should not be around drugs PERIOD.   Not to mention all of the victims of DUI that are now lying in their graves.  I really can't believe some people who are willing to let a "celebrity" get away with a pass.  She is reckless period, you can see it in her photo.  "Live fast, die young, and leave a good looking corpse."   That saying still applies today, and she seems to subscribe to the ideal.  She needs to WAKE UP.

    Why doesnt she just hire a driver to cart around her and her alcohol and drugs?  Wouldnt that be smarter than driving herself?

    I know something about recovery. I didnt go to a fancy rehab. There were no frills. This is simple go to rehab dry out . You will be able to have some clear thoughts. Decide whether you are alcoholic or an addict maybe both. When you get out the work begins go to an AA meeting the same day. AA is the best 12 step program ever devised it never fails. Hopefully you are alcoholic. Stick with AA work the program and you will live a life beyond your wildest dreams. I wish I were more articulate. AA saved my life and many others. I can honestly say I am a greatful recovering AA. 7yrs. Sober. I drank hard for 30 yrs. Iam 52. the last 18 yrs I drank from morning till I passed out . Rehab is not recovery!
