So for one gory week Americans chose to dip into the bloody pool of "Apocalypto." And I've got no problem with that.

 

But presumably after remembering how, uh, happy they were with those darn penguins, audiences rushed back to the familar. Only this time, they packed Will Smith's father-son drama "The Pursuit of Happyness." And no, that movie has nothing to do with penguins. It's about a "competitive internship with Dean Whitter!" (is it me or does this line sound like something Max Fischer would say?). 

 

Personally, I would have forgone the penguins and chosen some pig. "Charlotte's Web" was the best movie that opened this weekend.

 

Anyway, here's the top five.
